A winner pick worth watching

Giveaway Games is our own browser product: a real-physics 3D marble race that picks the winner of a comment-to-enter giveaway live on stream. Businesses running giveaways on OBS or Facebook Live need a pick that is fair and that the audience actually wants to watch. A random-number generator handles the first job and fails the second. The draw happens off screen, so the one moment everyone tuned in for is over in a blink. With real physics, no one picks the winner by hand, and everyone watches the marbles race for the line. The stakes are public, too. A track that jams mid-race does it in front of the whole audience.

Rebuilt from an open-source race

We started from an open-source game, Marble Live Racer v0.1, and adopted it as the baseline in the project's first commit on July 12, 2026. Rendering and physics are necessary, but that layer is not what makes the product. Our work went into the parts that do: tracks worth watching, a camera built for broadcast, and a test gate that keeps a bad track off the air.

  • Rebuilt the race on Three.js with the Rapier physics engine, so every bounce and collision comes from the simulation.
  • Built a procedural track generator and a track-building pipeline around a fun-first rule: fast races, dramatic moments and near misses, aimed at a first finisher in 30 to 45 seconds.
  • Wrote a certification suite that runs seeded physics simulations across many track layouts as the ship gate. A track that looks fine in the editor can still jam during a live giveaway, so it has to pass before viewers ever see it.
  • Added a broadcast camera mode with a 3D flying camera, built for streaming through OBS and Facebook Live.
  • Set a clear line for stuck marbles: an occasional one respawns and the race carries on, while systematic sticking fails the track.

Live with a physics test gate

Giveaway Games is live at giveawaygames.io with three tiers, Free, Pro and Custom, and the whole race runs in the browser. In August 2026 the certification suite passed at 30 and 50 seeded tracks on the art-style branch, the latest visual pass. That suite is the ship gate, so a track reaches a live stream only after it has run clean in simulation. We are open about where the game began. The baseline came from Marble Live Racer v0.1, and the track generator, the broadcast camera and the certification gate are the work we added on top.
